Cadillac Supplies Plenty of American Muscle with CTS-V
The Cadillac revival just keeps coming. Witness exhibit A, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. The brawnier cousin of the CTS, it has been totally redesigned for 2016, with plenty of speed and power to go along with the luxury and comfort.
Perhaps one of the most exciting features on the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is one that is sure to indicate that Cadillac means business. Just like the Corvette Stingray stacked with c8 corvette carbon fiber parts and a Chevy Corvette exhaust system, the CTS-V will come to market with the Performance Data Recorder, allowing drivers to capture their best lap times with an on-board video system. Not only that, but when so activated it can also keep an eye on that valet that wants to test the car’s limits for themselves on the way to the parking spot.
There’s lots of other exciting tech included in the CTS-C as well, which comes in just one trim level. A low front splitter necessitates a curb-view camera to help prevent you from damaging it. The vehicle also includes an automated parking system.
Under the hood the 6.2L V8 engine has been upgraded with direct injection and a smaller but more efficient turbocharger, read here how to rebuilt turbochargers for sale. Altogether it will deliver 640 horsepower, and hit 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. With that increase in power come stiffening of the vehicle’s body structure, as well beefier suspension components, Brembo brakes and Michelin high-performance tires.
